Richard Butler is an ARB registered Architect and a Chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects. His practice is based on Hayling Island, Hampshire close to where he grew up. The practice has a focus on well designed, high quality, remodelled, extended and new-build contemporary homes.
Richard gained a wealth of experience on a variety of successful projects at design-led architectural practices in London and more recently enjoyed ten years with Lymington-based John Pardey Architects where he worked as lead architect helping to design and deliver a number of award winning one-off houses.
The newly established practice offers a broad range of architectural services from feasibility and planning applications to building regulations applications, detail design, kitchen, bathroom, joinery and furniture design, tender packages and contract administration.
The practice aims to meet the client brief and to respond sensitively to each site with the highest standards of design and attention to detail and to remain within budget.
Richard’s qualifications include a First Class Honours Degree in Architecture, a Diploma in Architecture with Distinction as well as a Degree in Accountancy. Outside the world of design, Richard has a passion for rowing, sailing and windsurfing.
